I’m starting a new series which I’m calling “Stuff My Kid Tells Me to Draw.” I have a six year old, and often he sees me drawing and decides that what I’m working on isn’t up to his standards. Then he tells me what I SHOULD be drawing. This is one of his suggestions:
Dead Bear With Balloon Tail
“I think you should draw a bear with “X” eyes. I mean, “X” eyes because he’s dead. People have to know that he’s dead. But he should be moving around like he’s not dead. That’s funny. Oh, and he should also have a balloon tail.”

Haha . . . that’s awesome! Your kid’s got a great imagination.
Yeah. He has better ideas than me! I messed it up though. Apparently due to some miscommunication, the bear was supposed to be walking. This was an important point. I’m told I need to “get on that.”
Jeeze, Mom . . . get with it.
It’s OK, my son’s only 8 months old and I’m already disappointing him on a daily basis
Just wait until you can start embarrassing him! That’s much more fun!
